Considered one of Spokane's finest restaurants, Thai Bamboo has served well over a million Thai dish entrees to the greater Spokane & Coeur d'Alene community since we opened in 2000.

When we first opened, we found that many Spokane & Coeur d'Alene residents had never tried Thai food or had never experienced true authentic Thai cuisine. We found ourselves faced with a daunting task, how to best serve and educate our customers throughout the Inland Northwest with authentic Thai food.

We found that people appreciated our bedrock determination to stay authentic and truly liked trying different items off the huge menu we offered. For some, life beyond peanut sauce on Phad Thai had begun. We believe when you eat authentic Thai food, you naturally eat more vegetables and healthier foods and you end up feeling and looking better - what customer wouldn't like that?

Over the years, we've added more locations and keep improving our menu. This is a labor of love that still continues to this day. Recently we added over 30 items to our menu, most of which are health - oriented like our black-brown Thai rice and many fresh seafood items.

We have gained a loyal following of wonderful and interesting customers, many of whom we still see every week and to whom we graciously want to thank for helping us start out our business. It is interesting how many of the new people moving to our area from big cities where Thai food is already very popular, end up at Thai Bamboo within weeks of moving here. The word of mouth advertising of our faithful customers is to thank for this!

We also want to thank our wonderful employees many of whom have been with us since the very beginning. With our fourth location, a new spacious Coeur d'Alene restaurant that opened in February of 2008, we now have a local site to serve you within a few minutes from anywhere in the entire Spokane & Coeur d'Alene areas.

We promise to always keep things fun, exciting and delicious for our customers and to be a caring part of our local and global community. We try to use self-sustaining, recycled products whenever possible. We offer charitable help with many local projects and also for wide-ranging causes such as elephant hospitals in Thailand.

The owners, Tom & Matavee, are true believers in the future of our fine Spokane-Coeur d'Alene metro area. Tom was raised on Spokane's South Hill and Matavee is from the South of Thailand. We travel to Thailand and Southeast Asia often looking for fascinating and enjoyable things to bring back to Spokane (just look inside our restaurants!) We are happy to recommend some of our favorite destinations and activities to anyone planning a trip to Thailand.

The Spokane & Coeur d'Alene areas are at a very exciting stage of growth in culture and diversity. There are now many fine restaurants and fun entertainment venues available here and we are proud to be a part of this emerging international scene.
